Christina & Travis’ Wedding
Christina’s hair was so much fun to do! I love working with blondes that have a lot of dimension in their hair because it shows off more intricate hairstyles. If the same style was done on someone who had only one color of hair it probably wouldn’t show up as well in the photos.
With Christina we did her trial on the same day as the Rehearsal Dinner. When we were finished we did a “quick change of look” so that her hair was not the same as the wedding day. As you can see from the (non-professional) photos that I took, we removed the braid and left her hairstyle half-up / half-down with beachy curls.
For her wedding day hairstyle, we did a loose deconstructed braid adding her beautiful, floral crown. In the back I teased it first and pinned it for volume, then weaved some of the pieces thru out to give it a more interesting look. I remember she told me that each of the herbs in her crown were chosen for their particular meaning.
Christina wanted a bridal make-up look that was fresh and clean, but she also wasn’t afraid to have a little more drama to make her stunning blue eyes stand out. For her eyes we used a golden bronze eye shadow on her lids then contoured with a medium warm brown. We lined her eyes and added lashes. For her lips we used NARS Satin Lip Pencil in “Rikugien”. For her foundation we used Mac Prolongwear foundation and contoured with Anastasia of Beverly Hills contouring palette, adding a touch of blush “Orgasm” by NARs.
