Okay so your wedding is right around the corner & your skin is freaking out. Try not to change up your routine by using any harsh products that will offset the PH of your skin. Remember to drink lots of water, calm your nerves and try these 5 power foods to help clear up your skin:

Walnuts:  TheScreen Shot 2013-11-10 at 9.38.39 PMse are loaded with natural fatty acids and minerals and can make your skin soft and will even out your complexion. You’ll only need a handful a few times a week to get results. Remember when eating nuts… don’t overdue it. You just need a few.

Greek Yogurt: I like to use unsweetened and then add honey and lemon or cinnamon so that its not too sweet, but suit yourself. Either way greek yogurt has TONS of protein, calcium, and essential vitamins. Yogurt will prevent future wrinkles and give your skin a healthy glow.

Dark Chocolate: NOT milk chocolate….  I know I prefer milk chocolate too. But have you tried the almonds that are dusted in dark chocolate? They are made in heaven, and the perfect treat for when your craving something really bad. Cocoa holds hydrating nutrients and is loaded with antioxidants which will make your skin brighter and clearer. Believe it or not!! Who knew chocolate could be good for you? Remember that quantity is key here. That’s why dark chocolate works well for me. I don’t need to eat the whole thing to satisfy a craving and its actually great for my skin. Kale: Packed full with vitamin C and iron, kale is a super food which helps prevent skin damage and irritation. It can calm redness and inflammation and is loaded with antioxidants which keep the elasticity in your skin. It’s also super for your eyesight so you can keep sharp lazer vision and also great for weight loss. I personally don’t like kale, BUT I found out that you don’t even taste it if you mix it in your vanilla protein shake in the morning. I like to add some natural peanut butter and coconut oil so it tastes pretty darn good.

Berries: All berries are rich in vitamins and antioxidants  that combat free radicals and make your skin glow. They also have nutrients that prevent breakouts. Fruit smoothies ( with fresh berries) are the way to go.
