Meredith & Zac’s wedding

They were married one year ago today at Cabo Del Sol Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. On that day, our team of talented stylists worked their magic on Meredith and 6 guests. When we have a larger group we always send enough stylists so that the time needed to get ready is under 5 hours. Because lets face it, no-one wants to spend too long getting ready.

We always love working at Cabo Del Sol because they have the most perfect set up for brides and their bridal party. Not only do they cater to the ladies all day long with breakfast and lunch menus, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. Each person has their own personal locker, there are showers, plenty of room for our stylists to set up and wonderful lighting for make-up application. The photos taken of the bride getting ready always turn out nicely because of the lighting. Additionally, there is a spot for the dress to be hung, there is a table with a mirror for all the detail shots. The only thing that its missing is a live D.J. – Haha, just kidding, we always bring music since they don’t have bluetooth yet in the dressing room. But that’s a minor detail and now everyone always has a speaker with them somehow… Regardless, it’s pretty much the perfect spot to get ready.

Okay enough about Cabo Del Sol- Meredith and Zac made such a beautiful couple, let’s talk about her bridal look: For her make-up we used MAC prolong wear foundation after prepping her skin with Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer. Next, we used Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow dip to define her brows, for her eyeshadow a combination of MAC’s “Brown Script” & “Espresso” with a hint of “Amber Lights” to make them “pop”. For her cheeks we used “Peaches” Blush and Anastasia of Beverly Hills Contouring Palette. We finished off the look with “Shanghai Spice” Lipstick and “Lovenectar” Gloss from MAC.

I remember that before the trial Meredith was unsure if she wanted to wear her hair down parted to the side with thick waves, or if she wanted wear it in a bridal half-up / half- down hairstyle with side swept curls. After considering both options, they decided on a down-do hairstyle with a deep side part & Hollywood waves. She had a long veil for the ceremony which we removed for the reception and replaced it with a decorative hair comb. Meredith had long, thick and slightly wavy hair, which we first prepped with “Grip” Mouse from Schwartzcopf and “Blow & Go Thick” . We then set it in curls until they cooled down. Next the waves were brushed out, the base of the style teased lightly and the curls shaped and defined with a strong hold hairspray. Lastly the veil was placed and Meredith was ready to walk down the aisle.
