Chanty & Jonovan’s wedding
I loved this bride!! Some of you may remember this bride from our Instagram photos… well we finally have her wedding photos and we are so excited to share!! Chanty & Jonovan were married here in Cabo last year and we were honored to be part of their wedding.
Chanty wanted to go for a classic bridal look with hollywood waves and a beautiful ornate hairpiece pulling one side back. She has naturally curly hair so she had a straightening treatment done before she came. Sometimes this doesn’t work with this style because straightening treatments can cause hair not to hold a curl very well, but luckily this wasn’t the case. We prepped her hair properly with gel and mouse, blew it out and then set all the curls tightly – focusing on the roots to make sure they were all curled in the same exact direction so that when we brushed it all out it would give us those wonderful Hollywood Glam waves. Next we teased the base of her hair all over and then brushed it out, clipping & forming all of the waves together. Finishing off with Schwartzcopf Elastic hairspray #3.
In my experience if you are going to have this hairstyle and want it to look perfect for the whole night you really need to get touch-ups after the ceremony and before the rehearsal dinner and then probably right before dancing as well. Otherwise all the movement from hugs and kisses and dancing makes the curls not stay together. My personal recommendation is to have a change of look after the ceremony or dinner to have it put into and up-do so that you don’t have to worry about it the rest of the night.
For her make-up I used Temptu Pro Airbrush Make-up for her foundation. Next I primed her eyes with NARs primer and filled in her brows with Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow dip in Espresso. I used a combination of Blackberry, Quarry, Vanilla and Pearl from MAC for her eyeshadow, Lashes of course, Peaches Blush, Make-up Designatory contouring palette and “See Shear” lipstick from MAC… pure perfection for a stunning bride!
