Top 10 Make-up Artist Must Haves

I have a lot of clients that ask me what my favorite products are. These are the top 10 products that every make-up artist should have in their kit:

.) Prep + Prime Face Protect ($28.00)- This primer is made with special-effect silicones that even out lines and smooth pores to give your skin a flawless application for your foundation. Its velvety texture soothes the skin, bloting away excess oil and evening out redness.

.) MAC Strobe Cream ($15.00)- Super powered with potent botanicals it de-stresses and freshens the skin with a fully loaded vitamin zap of green tea.  It brightens with iridescent particles and anitoxidants. It enhances the reflection of light.

.) Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer ($42.00)- I use mainly MAC cosmetics but Laura Mercier is a must-have for women with more mature skin.  I recommend the tinted moisturizer and also the concealer which dries quickly and doesn’t crease.

.) MAC Fix Spray ($10.00)- For all events, especially in Cabo’s Summer months, this spray is imperative to set the make-up so it stays all day and night.

.) ($5.99)- If you have oily skin these should always be in your purse. Instead of adding more make-up when you start to shine, just absorb the oil. This way your make-up doesn’t start to look “cakey”.

.) Clinique Liquid Eyeliner ($15.00)- I have tried all kinds of liquid liners and this one seems to work the best. It has a fast drying gel formula and goes on with a fluid stroke for a great intense, precise color. It’s water-resistant and suitable for contact lens wearers.

.) MAC Brush Cleaner ($13.00)- This will clean, disinfect and condition the brushes so they’ll last longer. It is designed to extend the life of high quality brushes.

.) Kiels lip Balm ($7.00)- This is the best relief for dry, cracked lips. It’s  Formulated with soothing emollients such as Squalane, Lanolin and Sweet Almond Oil, as well as Vitamins A and E.

.) Nars Bronzer- Orgasm/ Laguna Duo ($40.00)- This dynamic duo is my most favorite of all colors. It seems to look great on everyone, and is not too shimmery. The only complaint I have is that it is a very delicate compact. I have broken a few of these and it always makes me sad. 🙁

.) False Eyelashes ($15.00)- I always like to choose the style of eyelashes that fit the shape of my clients eyes the best. For weddings and photos I always look for something that looks natural, but enhances the overall look of their eye to emphasize their natural beauty and avoid looking like a Drag Queen.
