Tadra & Andrew’s wedding

I instantly fell in love with Tadra’s laid back attitude, as well as all her killer style. Her wedding shoes were to die for. Add her Mexican-style wedding dress & gorgeous earrings… and you’ve got the recipe for one of the most stylish brides I’ve ever seen! Truthfully, if Kevin and I had married in Cabo I may have gone for a similar look. Tadra was such sweet and genuine person. I could tell that she had so much love for all the people around her. It was truly a pleasure being part of her big day!

The look we created for Tadra started with her hair. She has thin, fine, shoulder-length hair so we opted for a low, loose up-do with side swept bangs and just a few loose pieces to frame her face. The back of her hair was so cool – I wish you could see more of it in the photos, but unfortunately in most of the photos it was covered by the veil.

Style Tip: Many brides and bridesmaids like the idea of having a few loose pieces to frame their face, but unless your hair is specifically cut to do this, it doesn’t always look right. Talking to your stylist at home will ensure your desired outcome. In other words, make sure your bangs are blended properly before you come to Cabo if you want the style to look just right. Of course I can always shape up your bangs if necessary, but it’s important to communicate this beforehand so that we can allow enough time for it on the trial date

The bridesmaids wanted to have a braid integrated into their up-dos. However, they didn’t want the braids to match. So we made sure that each style was a little bit different than the next, personally I like it when each persons hairstyle is unique. Even thought they each had different styles, the overall look was still cohesive.

Regarding her wedding day makeup, I had learned from Tadra in our trial that she doesn’t prefer a lot of dark eye shadow. With that in mind, we did a clean, fresh look with long lashes and some minor contouring. Making her skin glow wasn’t difficult – she was such a stunning bride! We used MAC studio fix foundation, Naked Palette 2, NARS Laguna/bronzer duo and Vivaglam V Lipstick and Anastasia brow dip. For the bridesmaids we used natural tones to bring out their individuals features and of course, some false eyelashes to make the eyes pop in the photos.

Tadra, you were a delight to work with, your wedding, like you, was stunning. I wish you and Matthew the best!
