Mollie & Eugene
Mollie was an absolute delight from the minute I met her for our trial session. Coming from Texas, Mollie and her mother couldn’t be any sweeter. Her mid-length, curly, chestnut-colored hair is absolutely gorgeous. Of course, like every curly-haired girl, she wanted it to be blownout & smoother for her rehearsal dinner and wedding day. We started our trial session talking about what Mollie was looking for, she shared several different updo photos so I could understand what she liked, and the exact idea she was going for. After clarifying the elements she preferred from each look, we tied them together to create her perfect style.
Mollie originally scheduled her hair and makeup trial on the same day as a photo shoot with Eugene. We had planned to change her look, but she was so pleased with the first style that we didn’t change it at all! She told me later on the wedding day that the photo shoot had to be rescheduled to an early-morning sunrise session. She decided to sleep with her hair and makeup done until she woke up at 6 am the next day. I had to laugh when she told me that “It was the best thing to wake up and still look absolutely perfect in the morning… It was AMAZING!!”
For the actual wedding, we decided that since Mollie’s naturally curly hair had a tendency to frizz, we would do a blowout the night before for the rehearsal dinner so that I could prep her hair with the right products. Using products for curly hair is key – I wanted her hair to be smoothed out for the rehearsal dinner then a little dirty and ready to go for her bridal updo on the next day for her wedding. Her outdoor, beachside wedding was perfection – and thankfully using the right product and preparation paid off, her hair was able to withstand the wind and was ready for her big day.
Mollie, it was a pleasure working with you and your family. I wish you and Eugene a lifetime of happiness. Please, tell your Mom hello!
Hope you enjoyed!
Love & Light,
Neysa
