I always get so excited when we get requests for Indian weddings. The bright colors, unique customs, elaborate outfits and amazing hair & make-up carry a certain intensity that I can’t always explain with words. When Dewangi & Pritesh sent me their request I knew this was going to be a beautiful wedding. I’ve been waiting to post their photos for a long time because I wanted to write an informative blog on the different types of Indian Weddings. Not only for our readers but also for myself so that I can understand the differences between each sect. There really are so many different types of Indian weddings that it’s difficult to generalize, but hopefully you will find this information as interesting as I do.

My Question : What are the main different types of Indian weddings, and what are the differences in their basic beliefs, cultures and wedding traditions.

1. Gujrati – Dewangi & Pritesh’s wedding was Gujrati. Basically for this type of Indian wedding people are originally from place called Gujrat in India. They have their own language and customs.
