I met with Cecily and her family a few days before the wedding for her spray tan / hair & makeup trial. Even though Cecily is half Italian and her skin tans beautifully naturally, she wanted to ensure that her tan lines wouldn’t be visible and that she had a natural glow.
On the wedding day we brought a team of 5 stylists so that we could do all 12 of her bridesmaids in a timely manner. Most of the girls knew what they liked and were able to show us photos of their ideas for hair & makeup. It was obvious that this group of bridesmaids had been in other weddings recently because they all came prepared. We had such a great time with Cecily and her wonderful bridal party. The day couldn’t have gone any better.
With long, fine, straight, and thick hair Cecily wanted to try this “Rodarte-inspired” half-up, half-down, loose braided style. In our trial we learned that Cecily’s hair doesn’t hold curl exceedingly well; so on her wedding day we created tighter curls that slowly loosened so that by the time the ceremony and reception began, her hair was exactly as she wanted. She looked ethereal, yet sophisticated, relaxed… and stunning.
For her makeup, we used Temptu Pro airbrush foundation to even out her skin tone and enhanced her sun-kissed look. We both agreed upon a medium smoky eye with focus on her gorgeous lashes. We did some light contouring and a medium nude lip from MAC (Shanghai Spice) to finish off the look.
Cecily, you were a delight to work with and your photos turned out beautifully. You were such a stunning bride and your bridesmaids were so wonderful to work with. Congratulations!
