Winter/Spring 2016 Issue of Trendy Bride magazine!

When we received the inquiry for this photoshoot – it was very last minute. I had already been booked for another event, which coincided with the time that they were requesting our services. I was really bummed because I knew it was going to be a fun project. Originally I had planned to come and do the hair while Ivonne did the make-up, but the model’s flight was delayed and she arrived as I was having to leave for my next appointment. Luckily, I knew she was in good hands with one my best stylists, Ivonne Rayes Diaz. Ivonne has been one of our stylists since almost the very beginning. She has always had a natural ability to do beautiful hair & make-up, so training her was not difficult. As I have watched her skill set grow over the years, I have constantly been impressed with how quickly she picks new techniques up. Additionally all of our clients always love how professional & delightful her personality is. When women see her work, they line up to request her services. We are so honored to have her as part of Blanc Salon’s Bridal Styling Team. She did such a great job on this project. Congratulations Ivonne, you deserve it.

For this photoshoot Ivonne prepped the model’s skin with MAC prep & prime facial primer before using MAC’s “Prolongwear” foundation. Next she defined her eyebrows with Anastasia of Beverly Hills “brow dip” and primed her eyeshadow with “Painterly” from MAC’s infamous paint pots. Urban Decay’s Naked Palette was used to contour her eyes using “Pistol” & “Suspect”. Her cheeks were perfectly contoured with the colors “Trace Gold” & “Mocha” (from MAC as well). The look was finished off with “Ramblin’ Rose” lipstick and “Whirl Lipliner”.

Our model had naturally wavy, long, thick hair. Since they were pressed for time, and the look they were going for was more of a natural not overdone look, Ivonne decided to enhance her natural waves with a 1” styling rod, add Oribe’s “Dry Texturizing Spray” to the roots for added volume, tease it a bit then throw some texturizing cream thru the ends. The result… pure perfection.
