Okay soooo… there was A LOT of bad hair & make up on the red carpet this year which me realize how much work we could get in Hollywood. Aren’t the Grammy’s the event that you would want a great hairstylist, makeup artist AND wardrobe consultant for? After looking thru all of our choices, I can honestly say if the hair & make-up were great – then the dress was wrong. If the dress was amazing, then the hair & makeup were all wrong. Why can’ they get it right? Isn’t this Hollywood? Maybe it’s because in tinsel town stylists only specialize in one thing and possibly are too headstrong to communicate with one another. I can’t think of any other reason why there were so many hot-messes on this year’s on the red carpet. I find it comical that these are the people who the general public look to for fashion advise. At least this will make my job easy when selecting our best hair & make-up for this year’s Grammy’s.
Best Hair & Make-up for the Grammy’s 2013
1.) Rhianna: Looked stunning with her long hair and perfect make-up. She is one of the few who had it all tied together perfectly. A+
2.) Taylor Swift: LOVE her make up, AND her hair, AND her dress. The only thing I wish were different is her bangs. They need to be shorter so we can see her eyes. A-
3.) Alexa Chung: The messy up-do is perfect with her side-swept bangs. It looks effortless and fits her face shape perfectly. Her red lipstick looks amazing against her flawless skin. I liked her country style dress, but not for this event.
4.) Sarah Jessica Parker: I wasn’t wild about her dress, but I absolutely loved her make-up and her hair. The hombre style looks great on her.
5.) Maria Menounos: I thought her hair and make-up looked great. Maybe could have used a bit more shape to the waves. It almost looks like yesterday’s hair, but I like it. I almost liked the dress, because the color looks great against her skin, but then I saw the slit in the front and cheezy belt. Regardless, she looks effortlessly beautiful.
Kelly Rowland: DAMN… that dress is hot!! The only thing I didn’t like about it was that the triangle that covers her lower region looked like granny panties. But her body looks great, hair & make-up a little boring. Bangs… crooked & bad.
Here Are A Few That Almost Had It Right…
Adele: Maybe it’s just because I love Adele. Her make-up is great – she needed different lashes. I liked the beehive, but from the side I felt that her head looked mis-shaped. The dress resembled a couch that my grandmother used to have. Shoes – bad.
Honorable Mention to…
Beyonce: She looked amazing at the Superbowl. I guess she was just tired of looking so hot so she went for this average, boring look. We can give her a hall pass this time.
